Who We Are

We are a family-owned Farm Parts manufacturing and retailing centre. We have been operating in Swift Current, Saskatchewan since 1945 and have built up a loyal customer base since that time. We serve farmers and ranchers in Saskatchewan and also ship parts into Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Montana

Our high season extends from seeding time until after harvest, although we are open all year around.

We take pride in offering knowledgeable and personalized service to our customers. We supply quality products at competitive prices and often custom build parts which farmers cannot find elsewhere.

History

Nodge Manufacturing was started by Paul Nodge in 1945 when he saw a need for a new drum-with-teeth pick-up for combines. He designed and built 50 of these innovative pick-ups in his first year and left them on consignment at implement dealers around the country-side. The next year he built 200 units.

The company grew and evolved and was sold to an employee, Jake Wiebe, in 1955. He added combine chaff blowers and dump wagons designed to save the grain and chaffer feed. In 1965 Wiebe sold this part of the operation to Frank Remple and it became part of Rem Manufacturing.

In 1978 the company again changed hands when Paul Nodge's daughter, Isabelle, and her husband Jim Wright, bought the business. After several years the Wrights moved the business from the original small buildings to more modern quarters just across the back alley, at our present location at 125 - 10th Avenue N.W.

Dave and Jean Cyca (nee Nodge) joined as partners in 1988. In November 2004 the Wrights sold their share of the business to Brian and Debra Sauder.
